A Small Craft Advisory is posted for Big Island windward waters through 6 a.m. Friday. East winds are expected up to 30 knots and seas up to 12 feet.
A Gale Warning is posted for winds up to 35 knots and seas up to 15 feet in the Alenuihaha channel and to the south and west of the Big Island. The warning is posted through 6 p.m. Sunday.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for east shores through 6 p.m. Sunday for 8 to 11 foot faces.
A Wind Advisory is posted for the Big Island through 6 p.m. Saturday for east winds from 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph.

Looking Ahead
Strong trade winds will strengthen slightly Friday and Saturday, then gradually weaken into the middle of next week. Clouds and showers will occasionally affect mainly windward and mauka areas, though some showers will reach leeward sides of the smaller islands from time to time. Shower activity will likely increase Friday night into Monday or Tuesday which will mainly focus over windward sides of Maui and Big Island.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected for windward areas with frequent showers. Partly sunny skies for the Kona side with areas of haze and scattered showers in the afternoon as cloud cover builds. East winds from 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.

East winds are expected from 20 to 35 mph with higher gusts. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with frequent showers in windward spots and clearing overnight for the leeward side.
