A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north facing shores of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Thursday. Surf along north facing shores is expected to build to 10 to 15 feet peaking Wednesday morning.

Looking Ahead
Trade winds will continue through the weekend, then decrease and shift out of the southeast Monday and Tuesday. Moderate to strong trades will return by the middle of next week. A stable and generally dry air mass is expected to persist into next week with showers tending to favor the windward and mauka areas.

Today breezy conditions are expected with east winds from 15 to 20 mph. Isolated showers for windward and mauka spots during the day. The Kona side is expected to be dry with afternoon cloud build up. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.

East winds are expected in the evening from 15 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with scattered showers for windward spots. Leeward spots should be clearing as the night goes on.
