UPDATE: Flood Advisory Extended Through 4:15 p.m.

A Flood Advisory has been extended by the National Weather Service for portions of the Big Island through 4:15 p.m.
Just before 1:20 p.m., radar was showing heavy rain that has the potential to cause minor flooding in the Ka’u, Puna, and South Hilo districts.
Those areas were experiening up to one to two inches of rain per hour.
Hilo, Pahoa, Volcano, and Pahala are all included in the advisory.

The National Weather Service has extended the Flood Advisory for the Big Island through 12:45 p.m.
Just after 9:30 a.m., radar was showing heavy rain with the potential to cause minor flooding in areas including the Ka’u, Puna, and South Hilo distrcits.
Rain was falling at a rate of up to one to two inches in those areas.
Hilo, Pahoa, Volcano, and Pahala are included in the advisory.

A Flood Advisory has been issued for the Big Island by the National Weather Service through 9:45 a.m.
Just after 6:48 a.m., radar indicated that heavy rain was causing minor flooding in parts of the Ka’u, Puna, and South Hilo districts. In these areas, rain was falling up to one to two inches per hour.
Hilo, Pahoa, Volcano, and Pahala are included in this advisory.
