KKCC to Host ‘Energy Talk Story’ Nov. 5

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is hosting an “Energy Talk Story – NextEra/HEI Merger and Beyond” focus luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows.

During the luncheon, panelists will address alternatives for energy and the pending NextEra/HEI merger. One topic of discussion will include the impact of the cost of doing business in Hawai’i.

KKCC’s event will include panelists Eric Gleason of NextEra Energy, Marco Mangelsdorf of Hawai’i Island Energy Cooperative, and Jay Ignacio of Hawai’i Electric Light Company, and will be moderated by Sherry Bracken.

The talk will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission is $48 for Chamber members and $58 for non-members. A two-hour buffet and complimentary parking is included in the ticket cost.
