Kuakini Highway at the Oni Oni intersection has reopened, according to the Hawai’i Police Department.
All Big Island roadways are currently reopened.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that the intersection of Hualalai Road and Guava lane has reopened.
Officials say that Kuakini Highway at the Oni Oni Street intersection remains closed but is expected to open soon.
Authorities advise the public to proceed with caution in the area.

Highway 11 near the 108 mile marker is now open in both directions.
Hualalai Road from Queen Kaahumanu Highway to Hienaloli Road remains closed.

The Hawai’i Police Department is reporting that Highway 11 near the 108 mile marker is open to one lane of traffic.

Just under an hour after reopening, the Hawai’i Police Department reports that Highway 11 near the 108 mile marker has closed again.
Authorities say the closure is due to runoff on the roadway. The estimated closure time is three hours. Crews are on scene addressing the debris.
Hualalai Road from Queen Kaahumanu Highway to Hienaloli Road remains closed.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that Highway 11 has now been reopened between the 103 mile marker and 108 mile marker.
HPD advises that motorists drive with caution in the area.
Additionally, Hualalai Road from Queen Kaahumanu Highway to Hienaloli Road is closed. Hawai’i County Civil Defense reports the closure is due to flooding and debris.

Several roads are experiencing heavy flooding in Kona.
The Hawai’i Police Department reports a road closure at Highway 11 near the 103 mile marker in Honaunau due to heavy pounding.
Hualalai road at the intersection of Guava lane is also closed due to heavy pounding and run offs in Kailua-Kona.
The traffic lights at Kealakaa Street and Palani road are flashing red.
Kuakini Highway and Oni Oni is also flooding and will be closing as officers arrive.
Hawai’i County officials will be responding to these locations and motorist are being asked to take alternate routes, avoid these locations and use extreme caution.
