Hawai’i CC – Pālamanui Prepares for Opening
The University of Hawai’i Center, West Hawai’i in Kealakekua will begin its transition over to its new campus, Hawai’i Community College – Pālamanui located in North Kona.
During the transition, the school will undergo a variety of temporary changes and go through a series of important dates prior to the Fall semester beginning.
Monday, Aug. 3: Officer of Student Services, Business Office, the Library/Learning Center, and Administration at the Kealakekua location will be closed. The Placement Testing Center will remain open at the Kealakehe location through Aug. 14, aside from the closure on Monday.
Monday, Aug. 10: Pālamanui Student Services will be operational via phone and e-mail only. Call 969-8816 or e-mail wendymed@hawaii.edu.
Thursday, Aug. 13: Mandatory new student orientation at Kealakekua. Reservations must be made.
Monday, Aug. 17: Pālamanui Student Services will be operational. Students without an appointment must call 969-8816 before arriving on campus.
Tuesday, Aug. 18: Mandatory new student orientation at Pālamanui. Reservations must be made.
Monday, Aug. 24: First day of instruction for Fall semester at Hawai’i Community College– Pālamanui.
Students who need Placement Testing Services before registering for classes should still go to the Kealakekua location. Appointments can be made by calling 969-8830.
