Women Arrested Early Sunday on Mauna Kea
The Office of Attorney General Douglas Chin announced Sunday evening that an incident involving the arrest of one individual atop Mauna Kea occurred early Sunday morning.
According to a release, a woman was arrested for criminal property damage following the striking of an Office of Mauna Kea Management ranger vehicle.
Reports say that the woman drove up to a ranger and two sheriffs at about 2:30 a.m. and began to argue with them for not allowing her to go up the mountain.
After arguing, the woman used her car to strike an OMKM ranger’s vehicle. The incident caused minor damage and no one was injured.
