Campos to Present ‘A Crash Course in Comics and Film’

Among the many Hawai’i State Public Library System events taking place throughout the summer in celebration of the 2015 Children’s Summer Reading Program, is an appearance by comic artist Sam Campos.

Campos will present “A Crash Course in Comics and Film” at the Kealakekua Public Library on Wednesday, July 1.

The free event is open to the public and will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the adult reading room.

Known best as the creator of both the “Pineapple Man” comic book and “Dragonfly” video series, Campos will share how he created his projects. During the presentation, he will also demonstrate how anyone can draw, introduce 3D printing through practical application for props, and discuss 3D models and how they can be utilized to produce a variety of objects.
