Big Island Surf Forecast

Hilo side: Waist/chest/shoulder high waves expected today for east exposed breaks.

Kona side: Wave heights of waist/chest high are expected. The best breaks could get bigger waves on the sets.

South: Wave heights waist/chest/shoulder high are expected. Standout spots could get a bit bigger on the sets.

Our current south-southwest swell continues to fill in Friday before beginning to fade on Saturday. A couple of swells are due in early next week as well.

Out of the North Pacific conditions will be pretty flat. Models are showing a new swell next Thursday/Friday.

Trade swell it expected through the next few days in the knee/waist/chest high range.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
