A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the ʻAlenuihāhā channel and waters to the southeast and lee side of the Big Island through 6:00 p.m. Friday. Northeast winds from 15 to 25 knots are expected with rough seas of 6 to 11 feet.

We expect high temperatures from 82° to 87°. Trade winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. Partly sunny skies are forecasted with a chance of showers.

Tonight
Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with showers likely for windward areas. Leeward areas have a slight chance of a few evening showers, then clearing is expected through the night as the land breeze takes hold. Trade winds are forecasted from 15 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 71° to 76° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Locally breezy trade winds are expected through much of the weekend, with a slight decrease in wind speeds possible early next week. The trades will keep showers focused over windward areas, except for afternoon showers over the Kona slopes. Remnants from an old front may bring an increase in trade wind showers to the north end of the state late in the weekend and early next week.
