A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the ʻAlenuihāhā channel and waters to the southeast and lee side of the Big Island through 6:00 a.m. Thursday. Northeast winds from 15 to 25 knots are expected with rough seas of 6 to 11 feet.

We expect high temperatures from 82° to 87°. Trade winds are expected from 15 to 20 mph. Some haze is forecasted for the Kona/south side in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast for windward and mauka areas with scattered showers. Mostly clear leeward with mostly cloudy skies expected in the afternoon and isolated showers.

Tonight
Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward areas could get a few evening showers, then clearing is expected through the night as the land breeze takes hold. Trade winds are forecasted from 15 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 71° to 76° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Locally breezy trade winds are expected through Saturday. The trades will keep showers focused over mainly windward areas, except for afternoon showers over the Kona slopes. The trailing end of an old front may bring lighter winds and more active showers starting Saturday night.
