Kahalu’u Bay Education Center’s April Turtle Talk
Rachel Silverman, turtle biologist from the Kahalu’u Bay Education Center, will join together with interested participants to “talk story” about honu, the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, at the center’s next Turtle Talk event.
On Tuesday, April 14, participants can join Silverman, who will discuss the types of turtles found in Hawai’i, their importance to Hawai’i’s ecosystem, the threat they face, and how individuals can help to protect them.
The talk, which is a monthly event, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the park’s large pavilion.
Attendees are invited to make a $10 donation to support education and conservation programs at Kahalu’u Bay. Everyone who attends will receive a free informational turtle card.
