Greenwell Farms took home gold during the Kona Coffee Council’s 2015 Cream of the Crop coffee and dessert tasting competition.  The event, held at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa, earned Greenwell’s iced espresso a People’s Choice award.

“We are so excited to be honored once again as the People’s Choice winner at this prestigious event. Our customers and fans appreciate the superior quality they have come to expect from our farm. This win is certainly a direct result of our commitment to excellence,” said Tom Greenwell, Greenwell Farms general manager.

The Kona Coffee Council’s annual competition features desserts, Kona coffee, local artists, and craftspeople.  The coffee tasting competition includes the categories of Kona Estate Coffee, Kona Certified Organic and Kona Coffee, open division.

Greenwell Farms was established in 1850 and has been growing its own select coffee in Kona for generations.
