‘Fizz Boom Read’ Program at Kona Library
On Tuesday, March 31, a free family Read Aloud Program, “Books are Building Blocks,” will be held by the Friends of the Libraries, Kona. The event, part of the school year’s theme “Fizz Boom Read,” will be held at the Kailua-Kona Public Library with registration between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the front of the library.
Nancy Tashima, a curator and science teacher from the Onizuka Space Center, will be one of the presenters, discussing the International Space Station and planetary exploration.
“Fizz Boom Read” focuses on science and exploring the world through reading. Each month, on the last Tuesday, families come together for an event like the one being held March 31 to take part in the entertaining and informative program that encourages literacy within the family.
