The Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency says that the outdoor warning siren at Milolii will be tested Tuesday between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Technicians will be on-site to make sure that installation is done properly. Residents in the area may hear the siren sound six to eight times during 30-second to one-minute intervals, as well as tests of its public address system and short blasts, also known as “burps.”

Anyone with questions or concerns about the modernization of some of the state’s outdoor warning sirens can contact HI-EMA at (808) 733-4300 or Hawai’i County Civil Defense at 935-0031.
