Temporary One-Way Traffic on Kapiolani Street

A one-way traffic pattern will take place temporarily on Kapi’olani Street in Hilo for 2014 Christmas season activities at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Traffic along the road will only be allowed in the Puna, or southern direction, between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street.

The traffic pattern will be in effect beginning on Christmas Eve, Wednesday Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. until early Christmas morning, Thursday, Dec. 25 at 3 a.m. The closure will go into effect again from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Christmas Day.

During the one-way traffic hours noted, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapi’olani Street.
