A man found in a stolen pickup truck Friday has been charged with 11 offenses.

According to a Hawai’i Police Department release, Kona patrol officers responded to a 10 p.m. report of suspicious activity at the end of King Kamehameha III Extension in Keauhou.

When police ran a check on the license plate of a 2004 Ford Ranger that was found in the vicinity, they learned that the plate was from a different vehicle.

At that time, officers arrested a 27-year-old man who was operating the vehicle and took him to the Kona police cellblock while detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section continued the investigation.
