5 Big Island Restaurants Voted Best in Outdoor Dining
Five Big Island restaurants are among the 2014 Diners’ Choice Awards’ Top 100 Outdoor Restaurants in America, selected by the diners who view the website OpenTable.com.
The state of Hawaii has 16 of the top 100 outdoor restaurants, which were listed without rankings, said an Open Table release.
“These winning restaurants have created some of the country’s most coveted alfresco dining experiences,” said Caroline Potter, OpenTable chief dining officer, in the release. “Enjoying a meal in any of these sublime settings feels positively exclusive.”
The Top 100 list was generated from more than 5 million restaurant reviews collected from verified OpenTable diners between May 1, 2013, and April 30, 2014, the release said.
Big Island restaurants listed are Blue Dragon Restaurant in Kamuela; Brown’s Beach House at The Fairmont Orchid; Island Lava Java Bistro in Kailua-Kona; Kamuela Provision Co. in Waikoloa; ‘Ulu Ocean Grill and Sushi Lounge in Kaupulehu.
Hawaii was one of only three states having 10 or more restaurants on the list.
