Power Line Work to Close One Lane of Hwy 190

One lane of portions of Highway 190 will be closed for more than three months to allow Hawaii Electric Light Co. to upgrade its transmission line.

The closure will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

Affected will be sections of the 8-mile stretch from the Waikoloa junction to Puuanahulu.

Motorists are advised to expect delays during those periods and to use alternate routes if possible.

The lane closures will begin Monday, April 21, and will last through July 31.
