Led Zeppelin To Rock Fulldome Planetarium Show

The high-energy rock ‘n roll of Led Zeppelin returns to ‘Imiloa’s planetarium, starting Friday, Jan. 3, with immersive fulldome video graphics and the ‘Imiloa planetarium’s 10,000 watt, 5.1 surround sound system.

“Led Zeppelin fans young and old will love this,” said Christopher Phillips of the Imiloa’s planetarium staff.

Led Zeppelin classics like “Whole Lotta Love,” “Immigrant Song,” “Kashmir,” “Black Dog” and “Stairway to Heaven” are set to surrealistic images and mood-provoking abstract art that put both a modern and nostalgic spin on the music, Phillips said. “Way beyond ‘HD,’ the fulldome animation created for Led Zeppelin is of the highest resolution ever made for a digital dome music show.”

Because of the intense nature of the show, it is not recommended for children under 10, the Imiloa advises.

This show will play on selected Friday nights at 7 beginning Friday. Tickets, $10 for non-members, may be pre-purchased at the ‘Imiloa front desk using Visa or MasterCard or by calling 969-9703 during regular business hours. Tickets will also be available prior to the show.
