55th anniversary Kona Coffee Cultural Festival underway

An annual celebration of Kona’s world-renowned coffee — honoring the farmers, artists, volunteers and community partners that made the industry possible on the Big Island and those who now are moving it forward — kicked off Nov. 6 and continues through Nov. 15.

Kona Coffee Cultural Festival is once again brewing cultural performances, coffee contests, farm experiences and much more; there is plenty of fun left to be had during the 55th anniversary festival.

“For 10 days the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival shares stories and experiences of the multiple cultures working in the fields of Kona coffee to produce a superior product in production for 200 years,” said Kona Coffee Cultural Festvial President Valerie Corcoran. “We need to continue these stories.”
