Once Upon a Farm is recalling Tractor Wheel Organic Toddler Soft-Baked Bars because the fruit-flavored snack poses a potentially fatal choking hazard, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health announced.

The company issued the recall following reports that saliva during chewing causes the product to become a dense, dry and sticky mass that could cause choking.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has received several reports of toddlers suffering complete airway obstruction after consumption.

There have been no reported cases of injury or illness in Hawai‘i to date, the state Health Department said in a news release.

The recalled products were distributed online and at retailers nationwide, including Walmart, Target, Costco and other stores in Hawaiʻi. The recall covers all lot codes currently available for sale, including expired products and unexpired “Best If Used by Dates” from 10/30/2026 to 8/26/2027.

The state Food and Drug Branch advises consumers to return the recalled product to the location of purchase for a full refund or email care@uponafarm.com.

Consumers with questions can email care@uponafarm.com or call 1-888-983-1606 Monday-Friday from 4 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. HST.
