Water restriction notice in place for South Kohala customers

An essential water-use-only notice for affected Lālāmilo, South Kohala customers has been downgraded.

Hawai‘i County’s Department of Water Supply continues to have a water restriction notice in place for customers in Kawaihae, Kawaihae Harbor, Hāpuna Beach Resort, Mauna Kea Beach Resort, Puakō and Mauna Lani Resort. These restrictions are needed due to ongoing repairs of the county wells.

Reducing water use will help to maintain water levels in the storage tanks for all customers.

A Water Restriction Notice requires affected customers to reduce water use by at least 25%. Irrigation customers are required to reduce use by at least 50%.
