Update at 2:08 p.m. Oct. 8, 2026: Hawaiʻi Island police report that Highway 11, between mile markers 88 and 90 near Miloliʻi, in South Kona is now open to traffic.

That portion of the highway was previously closed because of a traffic crash.

Advisory originally posted at 10:08 a.m. Oct. 8, 2026: Hawaiʻi Police Department has closed Highway 11 in South Kona between mile markers 88 and 90 because of a traffic crash.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and be patient, as there are no alternate routes.
