Convoy schedules are subject to change, depending on weather. Motorists should make appropriate arrangements and plan for the following:

Military vehicle convoys schedule

  • 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Oct. 5-6.
  • Between Pōhakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Pier, West Hawaiʻi.

Convoys will consist of 10 to 15 military vehicles carrying personnel and equipment.

Leaders of the convoys will continually assess conditions and conduct pull-over procedures on permissible straight-way sections of the road, allowing local residents to bypass the military vehicles and reduce backed-up traffic.

“Our commitment to the surrounding community is of the utmost priority, and we appreciate the continued understanding and support,” said Pōhakuloa Training Area Public Affairs in the convoy announcement.

Call the U.S. Army Garrison Hawaiʻi Community Concern Line at 808-766-7778 or email to usag.hawaii.comrel@army.mil with any concerns related to noise or training.

Concerns are responded to during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
