Annual EPIC system update scheduled later this week

Hawaiʻi County Department of Public Works and Planning departments will perform the annual update to the county’s Electronic Processing and Information Center — or EPIC — beginning early Thursday morning, June 11.

EPIC is Hawai‘i County’s online portal for permits, plan submissions, inspections, payments and public records.

The EPIC site will be unavailable from 1 a.m. June 11 through 8 a.m. Friday, June 12, because of the scheduled system maintenance.

New permit and plan applications, plan submissions, document uploads and online payments will not be accepted during those hours.

The departments thank the public for its patience and understanding as this necessary system update is completed.
