Lions Club of Kona Community Foundation announces its 2026 Konawaena High School scholarship winners.

Five graduating seniors were honored for their academic achievement, leadership and community service. The scholarships were awarded by Hawai‘i’s largest Lions Club on May 18 during the Konawaena High School Senior Awards Dinner.

Scholarship winners are:

  • Maila Daniels: $1,000 Outstanding Leo Club Member Scholarship.
  • Tia Ichishita: $2,000 Lion Shari Ann Ogi/Akinori Imai Memorial Scholarship.
  • Enhao Zheng: $1,000 Community Service Scholarship Award.
  • Maxon McCloskey: $1,000 PDG Norman Sakata Memorial Scholarship.
  • Analani Craft: $2,000 Ken and Kimiko Hayashi Memorial Scholarship.

Each scholarship recipient and their parents will be honored July 20 during a special Lions Club of Kona Scholarship Awards Dinner at Teshima’s Restaurant in Kealakekua.

The public is invited to attend. Dinner tickets are $25 per person; reservations are required.
