Hawai‘i Police Department reported late Saturday morning, May 16, that a 69-year-old woman previously reported missing, was found.

Police said Darlene Mae Lewi was located Friday, May 15, in Hilo.

Island law enforcement put out a call to the public earlier this week asking for help with finding Lewi, who was originally reported missing Thursday, May 14, after being last seen at 6 a.m. that day on ʻŌhiʻa Avenue in Eden Roc.

She was also considered endangered because she might have needed medical assistance.
