The Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital announced it is offering several scholarship opportunities for students on Hawai’i Island pursuing careers in health care and higher education.

The hospital noted that among the available awards is the Peggy Dineen-Orsini Scholarships, which provides $2,000 to a Hawai’i County resident enrolled in or accepted into a National League of Nursing-accredited program either on the island or mainland.

The scholarship was established through private donations in memory of Peggy Dineen-Orsini, a registered nurse who worked at Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital from 1996 to 2004.
