UPDATE: Hawai’i Island police locate missing Eden Roc woman in good health

Hawai‘i Island police report that 61-year-old Joan Sachiko Mayo (formerly Joan Hamamoto), who was reported missing, was located on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
Mayo was initially reported missing a few days ago from the Eden Roc area. She was found in Mountain View in good health.
