Police search for 12-year old endangered runaway last seen in Hilo Tuesday morning

Hawaiʻi police are searching for 12-year-old Selah Matthews, who has been identified as an endangered runaway.

Selah Matthews

Matthews was last seen at 6:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Kehaulani Street in Hilo. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 90 pounds, and is Hawaiian.

Matthews was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweater, blue jeans, and a tan-colored backpack. She is described as having a thin build, medium complexion, long dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes.

Anyone with information that can assist in safely locating Selah Matthews is asked to call 911 or the nonemergency line at 808-935-3311.
