Update at 7 p.m. March 17: The Hawaiʻi Police Department reports that Kymahni Mata, 13, has been located in good health.

Original post at 2:45 p.m. March 17: The Hawaiʻi Police Department is searching for 13-year-old Kymahni Mata, who was last seen in Hilo at 8 a.m. today (Tuesday, March 17).

Kymahni Mata

Mata was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a “Nike” logo on the front, red shorts and black shoes on the 300 block of Desha Ave. in Hilo. He is considered endangered due to his age.

Mata is described as Hawaiian with short black hair and brown eyes. He is 4 feet tall and weighs 70 pounds.
