UPDATE: Endangered 25-year-old man located several hours after reported missing

Update at 5:19 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026: Hawai‘i Police Department reported just after 4:30 a.m. today (March 6) via email that missing 25-year-old Jonathan Solominsky, who was considered endangered and hadn’t been seen since about 5:30 p.m. Thursday (March5), was located. He also was found in good health.

Hawai‘i Island police thank the public for its cooperation.

Jonathan Solominsky is 5-foot-5, 180 lbs., with blue eyes, brown hair and a long beard. He was last seen about 5:30 p.m. Thursday (March 5) on 27th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park, wearing a blue-green shirt and khaki shorts.

Solominsky is considered endangered because he might need medical assistance.

Anyone with information that can assist with safely locating Solominsky is urged to immediately call 9-1-1 or the Hawai‘i Police Department non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
