Hawaiʻi businesses must file annual first quarter reports by end of March
Hawaiʻi Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Business Registration Division reminds businesses to file their annual business reports.
The annual report filing period is related to the registration date of a business and can be filed at any time during the quarter in which the filing is due.

Filing quarters are:
- First quarter: January through March.
- Second quarter: April through June.
- Third quarter: July through September.
- Fourth quarter: October through December.
Businesses registered in Q1 can now file their annual reports online. Deadline to file first quarter reports is March 31 — to avoid a late filing penalty.
Fees for filing business reports online are:
- Limited liability companies, profit corporations and limited liability partnerships: $12.50.
- Nonprofit corporations: $2.50.
- Partnerships: $5.
Accepted online forms of payment include credit card, eCheck and via an eHawaii.gov subscriber account.
Businesses are encouraged to monitor their information online and file reports timely to remain in good standing, which might be a prerequisite to qualify for contracts, loans and other forms of assistance.
Those who are delinquent in filing their annual report(s) can file online, and a $10 late fee will be assessed per each year of delinquency.
Be cautious of any correspondence that does not come from the state of Hawai‘i Business Registration Division. The division does not use or endorse the services of any third-party company to collect or file annual business reports.
