Hawaiian Electric plans overnight closure on portion of Kuakini Highway in North Kona

Hawaiian Electric crews will close part of Kuakini Highway overnight to replace a utility pole in North Kona beginning Wednesday night.
The mauka lane of Kuakini Highway, near the Hualālai Road intersection, will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
The work is being performed overnight to minimize disruptions to the community. There will be flaggers to provide traffic control, but motorists are advised to use alternate routes and plan for delays.
