Hawai‘i County Department of Water Supply canceled water restrictions for North Kohala customers.

The “essential needs only” notice was issued after the Hāwī #2 well went down. It has since been repaired and returned to service on Sunday, according to a news release from Hawai‘i County.

Normal water use may resume. County officials advise customers to use water wisely and not waste it.
