Photo Gallery: 26th Annual Queen Liliʻuokalani Festival in Hilo

The 26th Annual Queen Liliʻuokalani Festival was held on Saturday to celebrate her birthday and honor her legacy in the historic Liliʻuokalani Gardens named after her in Hilo.
Queen Liliʻuokalani was the last sovereign monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom, ruling from Jan. 29, 1891, until the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom on Jan. 17, 1893.
The beloved flower drop was canceled due to the fires in Hāmākua. But the festival remained beautiful, filled with the vibrant colors and spirit of aloha.
There were a wide range of activities, including Hawaiian games. The festival also showcased local crafts, vendors and exhibits, with lively performances by beloved entertainers Darlene Ahuna, the Kipapa Sisters, Taishoji Taiko and Just Us Band.
And no festival would be complete without a mass hula performance featuring many groups.
