Man in mid-20s wanted in connection with Waimea terroristic threatening investigation

Hawai‘i Island police are asking if anyone knows or can help identify a suspect in a terroristic threatening investigation stemming from a June 25 incident in Waimea.

The thin, clean shaven local man in his mid-20s was photographed while stopped at Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area just off Daniel K. Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, by another person involved in the Waimea incident.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to contact Hawai‘i Police Department South Hilo Patrol Officer Makena Naho‘oikaika at 808-935-3311 or via email at makena.nahooikaika@hawaiicounty.gov.
