Utility work to close section of Ahikawa Street in Kona

Hawaiian Electric crews will close a portion of ʻĀhikawa Street to replace a utility pole in Kona tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9.

The closure will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on ʻĀhikawa Street between Hōlū Street and Kiekie Street.

Motorists are advised to use ʻĀhulani Street as an alternate route and drive with caution approaching the work zone.

Flagmen will be on-site to assist motorists and pedestrians during the work.
