Hawai‘i Island police renew request for information on whereabouts of missing Puna man

Hawai‘i Island police are again renewing their request for any information relative to the whereabouts of a 34-year-old man who has been missing for more than a year.

Justin Kawika Ferreira, of Puna, was reportedly last seen on October 21, 2023, in Kea‘au, wearing camouflage pants and no shirt.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Ferreira is known to frequent the Hilo, Puna and Kona areas; his family is deeply concerned for his well-being, according to a police press release.

Police ask anyone who may have information relative to Ferreira’s disappearance to call Detective David Po‘ohina of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 808-961-2385 or via email at David.Poohina@hawaiicounty.gov or the department’s non-emergency number at 808-935-3311.
