Live music and health care make an unlikely duo as the Kona Hospital Foundation hosts a benefit concert to raise funds for medical technology, expanded services, and enhanced facilities at the Kona Community Hospital.

The benefit concert will take place at the Aloha Theatre beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and will feature renowned Hawaiʻi musician Mark Yamanaka, a 10-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner.

“We are honored to have Mark Yamanaka grace our stage in support of our mission to improve health care for our community,” said Joei Feke, executive director of the Kona Hospital Foundation. “This event not only showcases incredible talent but also unites our community for a meaningful cause.”

More than $16,000 in sponsorships have been secured, exceeding the original goal. Attendees can look forward to an intimate and inspiring performance while contributing to vital health care initiatives.
