Does taking an epic Buzzed and Bamboozled quest with a few fun party members — and a couple of drinks — for a meadery-themed “Dungeons & Dragons” session at Big Island Meadery sound like fun?

Maybe you’d rather wander through tea-scented air and moonlit vibes while exploring elixirs crafted with love as you’re embraced by the rhythm of Pāhoa, yes?

You can participate in one or all of those activities during the next several days around the Big Island.

There’s once again a rich and great mix of interesting and engaging events that should get your toes tapping, your body moving and your brain working.

Here’s our top 10 things to do on the Big Island for March 28 through April 3:

No. 1 — Puna Hongwanji Rummage Sale (Kea‘au, March 29)

When: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: Puna Hongwanji Mission, 16-492 Old Volcano Road

Come find a treasure among the myriad items available for sale. Bring your patience and kindness as you rummage through everything up for grabs. The Puna Hongwanji Boutique will also be open, with higher priced items for sale. Puna Hongwanji concessions will have some delicious food when your hunger hits during your shopping trip, and Puna Taiko will be making andagi. It will be a great day to spend with family, reconnect with commuinty and find some deals. Admission is free.

No. 2 — Cause for Paws (Hilo, March 29)

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, 323 Manono St.

The ulti-mutt adoption event returns for its fourth year, this time at an animal-friendly venue. Aloha ʻĪlio Rescue’s biggest event of the year will be an unforgettable day filled with love, wagging tails and the chance to meet your new best friend on-site. Plus, there will be more than 40 vendors and more than 10 food trucks participating, along with cat adoptions and other animal services through the dog rescue’s partners.

No. 3 — Mana Wahine Craft Fair (Kailua-Kona, March 29)

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Salon Pink, 74-5467 Kaiwi St.

Join Salon Pink for a day of crafts and more in celebration of Girls Day, Women’s Day and Women’s History Month. Featuring a variety of vendors, this craft fair promises a diverse group of female entrepreneurs representing an array of industries and businesses. There also will be live entertainment, food and other activities. All participating vendors are businesses led by women.

No. 4 — Buzzed and Bamboozled (Kea‘au, March 29)

When: 1 p.m.; sign up starts at noon

Location: Big Island Meadery, 16-313 Shipman Road

Step into the Golden Hive Meadery, where bees, brewers and barrel haulers must band together for the most chaotic shift of their lives. This meadery-themed one-shot “Dungeons & Dragons” session promises good times and good vibes, hosted by Ember’s Traveling Hearth. Spots are first come, first served. That means only one sign-up per person.

No. 5 — “Invaders of the Heart: The Return” (Hāwī, March 29)

When: 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Location: Kohala Resilience Hub Barn, 55-514 Hāwī Road

This multimedia dance theater production explores the sacred symbols of rebirth, renewal, ecstasy and our inextricable interconnectedness with the natural world. It looks to the past as a touchstone for examining the present and building a collective future. With prominent artist Michael’s Bergt paintings as a striking backdrop for the dance, the collaboration is visually stunning and powerfully prescient for these times. Tickets are $20 to $30 on a sliding scale.

No. 6 — The Sponges live (Kailua-Kona, March 29)

When: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Location: MyBar Kona, 74-5606 Luhia St.

Don’t miss this unforgettable night of the return of this South Florida-based duo to the Big Island, bringing their brand of psychedelic dance music that fuses 1970s funk, heavy bass and nostalgic samples with a classic four on the floor rhythm. It’s guaranteed to have girls and guys alike groovin’ on the dance floor. Tickets are just $20.

No. 7 — Hawai‘i Athletic Trainers’ Association 5K Run/Walk (Hilo, March 30)

When: 7:30 to 10 a.m.

Location: Liliu‘okalani Gardens, Banyan Drive

Come be part of this fun run/walk meant to further enhance the quality of health care provided by association members and advance the athletic training profession in Hawai‘i. The event is raising funds for future events, scholarships and equipment. The run/walk also will help close out National Athletic Training Month. Registration fee is just $20. Day of race registration is from 6:15 to 7 a.m.

No. 8 — LGBTQ+ Nature Walk and Picnic (Waimea, March 30)

When: Noon to 3 p.m.

Location: ʻUlu Lāʻau (Waimea Nature Park), 66-1246 Māmalahoa Highway

Come for a free, lovely, relaxing afternoon with a potluck-style picnic and tea. Enjoy nature, games and building community. Bring a dish to share, if can. This is a family-friendly event, and allies are welcome. Bring your beautiful queer self for a nature walk led by Avalon Paradea, who will talk about the incredible native plants in the park. Registration optional. Bring water, a blanket or chair, comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.

No. 9 — West Hawai‘i County Band free monthly concert (Kailua-Kona, March 30)

When: 4 p.m.

Location: Hale Hālāwai Park, 75-5760 Ali‘i Drive

Comprised of local musicians from all walks of life, this civic and community band presents monthly concerts throughout the year, typically on Sunday afternoons, featuring an hour of band music from Hawaiian to film scores to marches. Concerts are free to attend; however, donations are welcome. All donations support the band.

No. 10 — Mad Hatter Tea Party (Pāhoa, April 2)

Location: Woodrose Tea Lounge & Elixir Bar, 15-2931 Pāhoa Village Road
