Ocean View burglary suspect considered armed and dangerous sought by police

A 40-year-old Ocean View man wanted on two outstanding warrants as well as questioning in an Ocean View burglary that happened about 3 years ago.

Robert “Tamatoa” Teinauri-Carman is considered armed and dangerous, and is being sought by Hawai‘i Police Department. Law enforcement is asking the public for its help with locating him.

Teinauri-Carman is wanted on a warrant connected with an indictment and another regarding revocation of bail. The burglary he is wanted for questioning in happened in 2022.

Police provided no further information about the warrants or the burglary incident.

The public should not approach Teinauri-Carman and immediately contact police at 808-935-3311 if he is seen.

He was last seen at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the area of the 49-mile marker on Highway 11 in Ka‘ū before fleeing on foot from officers.

Police conducted an extensive ground search in the area; however, were unable to locate Teinauri-Carman.

It is unknown if he received any assistance leaving the area. Although his whereabouts are unknown, Teinauri-Carman is known to frequent the Ocean View area.

He is 5-foot-7, weighs 175 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on the front and back of his body.

Hawai‘i Police Department reminds the public that anyone who harbors, aids or conceals a wanted person could possibly also face criminal charges.
