Woman caught by video surveillance suspected of taking items from Kona business without paying

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a woman caught by video surveillance who is suspected in a theft at the end of 2024 from a Kona business.

Police responded Dec. 29, 2024, to a business in the 75-5700 block of Ali‘i Drive in Kailua-Kona after receiving a report of the theft that happened just after 7 p.m.

It was determined an unidentified woman took items from the business without paying.

The suspect is a local/Hawaiian woman possibly in her early 20s, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5, weighing 130 to150 pounds.
