In case you haven’t heard, the county’s Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division now accepts payments via credit and debit cards as well as the mobile payment services Apple Pay and Google Pay. The new options have been available for about a month.

Customers also can still pay with cash and by check.

“We are pleased to provide the public with more ways to pay for their vehicle registrations and licenses,” said Hawaiʻi County Mayor Kimo Alameda. “We want to thank the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division for implementing this change and making in-person services more convenient for customers.”
