Kealakehe transfer station closes early
Hawai‘i County Department of Environmental Management is alerting the public that the Kealakehe transfer station closed early at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The early closure is because of a staffing shortage with the transfer station’s contractor. The facility is scheduled to reopen for regular hours Saturday.
The department apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community for its patience and understanding.
