Update: Previously reported missing East Hawaiʻi woman has been found

Update at 12:32 a.m. Jan. 8: Jannefer Kaspar, 31, was located in good health in Hilo at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

Original at 9:59 p.m. Jan. 5: Hawaiʻi Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 31-year-old Jannefer Kaspar of Kurtistown.

She was last seen walking in the Orchidland subdivision in Kurtistown on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024; however not reported missing until recently, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department.

Kaspar has a light complexion, is 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 120 pounds, with shoulder length black hair, and brown eyes. Kaspar is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas.

Kaspar is considered an endangered missing person and may need medical assistance.

Police ask anyone with information on the location of Kaspar to call the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
