Puna man allegedly fires several shots at ex-inlaws during incident in ʻĀinaloa
A 36-year old Puna man was arrested and charged after allegedly firing several shots from a handgun and threatening his ex-inlaws during a Dec. 11 incident at a Pearl Drive residence in ʻĀinaloa.

No one was injured in the incident, according to police reports, and the Hawaiʻi County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney said Sione Siale made his initial appearance Monday in Hilo District Court.
Siale is charged with:
- First-degree reckless endangering.
- Ownership or possession of firearm or ammunition prohibited.
- 2 counts of first-degree terroristic threatening (with the use of a dangerous instrument, a firearm or handgun).
His bail was maintained at $110,000 and he was ordered to appear Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
The firearm and ammunition charge is a Class B felony, punishable by either 10 years in prison or 4 years probation and up to 18 months in jail.
First-degree reckless endangering and first-degree terroristic threatening are Class C felonies, punishable by either 5 years in prison or 4 years probation and up to 12 months in jail.
The case was initiated by Hawai‘i Police Department Puna Patrol and felony investigation was led by the department’s Area I Juvenile Aide Section Officer Corey Kaneko.
It is being prosecuted by Deputy Hawai‘i County Prosecuting Attorney Heipua Ah Loy.
