Hawaiʻi County invites the public to jingle bells and trek the trails

The County of Hawai‘i is hosting the “Jingle Bells, Trek the Trails” event at the West Hawaiʻi Civic Center on Friday.

This free event mixes holidays with health and wellness and will feature food and craft vendors, giveaways, keiki activities, and a bicycle course for people to explore.

Guests are welcome to bring their own bike, or there will be bikes available to borrow to trek the trails.

There will also be live music from local bands, Aloha Kings and Ho’aikane, and Mayor Kimo Alameda and members of his executive team will be present to meet and talk with West Hawaiʻi residents.

“We look forward to welcoming the community to this family-friendly event as we continue to celebrate the magic of the season,” Alameda said. “In addition to holiday cheer, we will also be promoting health and wellness with a ‘Trek the Trails’ bicycle course. Mahalo to our co-sponsor, Hilo Bike Hub, for helping to promote bike safety for our keiki.”

“Jingle Bells, Trek the Trails” will be from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the West Hawaiʻi Civic Center,  74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway.
