Hawai‘i County invites the public to once again experience the “Magic of the Season.”

The cherished weeklong annual holiday open house tradition is slated for 5:30 to 8 p.m. each night from Dec. 9-13 at the County Building in Hilo, offering a variety of festivities such as live hula and music performances, food trucks, goodies and snacks, decorations and activities for keiki.

Christmas trees, creatively decorated with different themes, will be on display throughout the building, and Santa Claus will make a special appearance each night while various county departments host activities.

“Our office, along with the Office of Aging, Department of Human Resources and Office of Housing and Community Development, will be hosting the night of Wednesday, Dec. 11,” reported the Hawai‘i County prosecuting attorney’s office in an Instagram post.

The county will also collect nonperishable food items and donations throughout the week for The Salvation Army that will help make the season brighter for those in need.
